Maureen E. Moore, Age 84 of Bear Lake died Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility. She was born on January 4, 1931 in Cadillac, Michigan the daughter of the late Archie & Neva (Gulleckson) Miles. She attended Cadillac Schools. On March 24, 1951 she married Glen E. Moore, Jr. in Cadillac. Mauren was self-employed having owned the Sportsman’s Headquarters in Bear Lake for forty-five years. She also was the caretaker at Hopkins Memorial Park in Bear Lake for around twenty-five years. Survivors include her husband; Glen E. Moore, Jr. of Bear Lake, One daughter; Sue Allen of Bear Lake, and two sons; Daniel (Cathy) Moore of Fenton and William (Amy) Moore of Morenci, six grandchildren; Kristin & Daniel Allen, Heather (Jordon) Sell, Andrew (Brittany) Moore, Jennifer & Madalyn Moore, great grandchildren; Jeremy, Jacob, & Justin Oakley and Hunter & Courtney Allen, and her sister; Kathleen Philo of Manton. She was also preceded in death by two brothers; Carl & Stanley Miles. A Memorial Gathering for Maureen will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 1:00 PM at 7676 Lake Street in Bear Lake at the lake. A luncheon will follow the service. Family interment services will take place Sunday at Liberty Township Cemetery in Manton.
