William John Berry, Jr., age 84 of Manistee, died Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility. He was born in March 7, 1930 in Waukesha, Wisconsin the son of the late William John and Anna (Engstrom) Berry. On August 12, 1951 William married Dorothy Richards in Newberry, MI; she preceded him in death on September 14, 2012. He was employed at Mak-Kraft for 23 years; retiring in 1981. He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie (Arnie) Harthun of Manistee; son, Larry Berry of Traverse City; brother, Robert Berry of Curtis, MI; 2 sisters, Kay Terrian of Bay City and Kathy Berry of Newberry; grandchildren Cassie (Jeff) Espvik, Jessica (Eric) Seaburg, Heather Berry, Kim (Jeremy) Symons; and great-grandchildren, Emilio & Lexus Paniagua, Caleb & Kyle Seaburg, Sophia & Samuel Symons, and Dylan & Emily Espvik. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Edward; one brother, Edward Berry; and two sisters, Mary Ann Stevenson and Betty Jo Briscoll. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1st at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee with Pastor Joe Hilyard officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Final interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Kaleva.
