Nicholas Allen Smith age 18 of Ludington and Baldwin passed away unexpectedly in a motor vehicle accident on July 31, 2014. He was born on January 8, 1996 in Big Rapids, MI the son of Amy Smith and Greg Woolman. Nick was a student at MCC High School in Scottville and worked for Meijer’s, Inc. He and Casey Jean O’Brien were engaged to be married and celebrated the birth of their daughter Grace Ann O’Brien – Woolman in March of 2014. Nick enjoyed bowling on the MCC High School bowling team and was an avid player of video games. He was always a kid at heart, had the most beautiful blue eyes, and was a wonderful big brother to Mackenzie and Christian, he was also the oldest grandchild of 7 to his grandparents. Nick cherished his family time with his fiancée’ and daughter Grace. He was very devoted to his family. Nick is survived by his daughter Grace Ann; parents Amy (Daniel) Smith and Greg (Jonie) Woolman, sister Mackenzie, brother Christian; grandparents Sara & Duane Wenzel, great-grandparents Judy & Charles Hicks. He is preceded in death by his fiancée’ Casey Jean O’Brien. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Nick will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday August 7, 2014 at MCC High School in Scottville with Pastor Dave Stiles officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at MCC High School from 1:00 PM until time of service.
