Scott Ames, Jr. age 90 of Ludington passed away on March 25, 2014. He was born January 09, 1924 in South Lyon, MI the son of the late, Scott and Queenie Mae (Dibble) Ames. He graduated from Ludington High School and he proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII as a radio operator. Scott married Doreen L. Van Loon on December 28, 1946 in Ludington and she preceded him in death October 9, 2002. He was employed as machinist for Continental Motors in Muskegon, MI and was also a member of the Moose Lodge #637. Scott was a great mechanic and could fix any type of engine. He also like to fish and hunt in his younger years. He is survived by his children, Scott (Lois) Ames, Roger (Karen) Ames, Michael Ames, Larry (Kristen) Ames, and Lisa Parkinson; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews. Scott is preceded in death by his parents; wife; 4 brothers; 3 sisters; 2 brothers-in-law and 1 son-in-law. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a future date.
