Nancy Karen Shepler age 69 of Ludington, passed away peacefully March 3, 2014 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born February 15, 1945 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of the late Bernie and Blanche (Butler) Colson. Nancy attended Ludington High School with the class of 1964. She married Sherwood D. Shepler on February 16, 1963. Nancy was a retired teller from Safe Harbor Credit Union. She was a member of Beacon Ministries, enjoyed gardening and reading. Nancy is survived by her daughters, Sheila Shepler, Stacie (Ben) Lara; brother-in-law, Gordon (Pracilla) Shepler; grandchildren, Shaina (Rich) Shepler, Austin (Maressa Sarto) Shepler, Anson Lara, Aleighcia Lara; & great-grandchild, Eathen Huffman; numerous nieces & nephews and her special friend Sheryl (Tom) Anderson. She is preceded in death by her husband Sherwood D. Shepler and several brothers & sisters. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday March 10, 2014 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington. Memorial contributions in honor of Nancy may be directed to Hospice of West Michigan or American Heart Association.
